Neva Sullaway Author, Editor
“The cure for anything is saltwater: sweat, tears, & the sea. ”
— Isak Dinesen

Where the love of the sea meets the power of the written word.

After 45 years as an author/editor, Neva established and volunteers her time with two nonprofit organizations, because both the Ocean and Books/literacy are in jeopardy. Neva’s two passions reflect the core elements that have profoundly shaped her life: the Sea and the transformative Power of Books.

Ocean Magic Productions — a 501(c)(3)NonProfit

Ocean Magic Productions grew from Neva’s lifelong love of the sea and her commitment to discovering and sharing personal stories, sea history and marine science, in the hope of recognizing the importance of our Ocean environment and the need to protect and preserve our most precious natural resource.

Regional INK — a 501(c)(3)NonProfit

As a child, Neva struggled to read because of poor eyesight. Unable to decipher words and read until second grade was humiliating with her strict Catholic upbringing. That experience became a lasting source of empathy and purpose.

Regional INK fosters a lifelong love of reading and community support by providing young readers and general audiences, with the books and materials needed to explore, learn about, and discover our regional authors, history, natural environment, and unique cultural heritage, throughout the Southwest and Baja California.

Neva is proud to participate in professional organizations that support writers, editors, publishers, historians, and women working across the creative arts.
